The Drowning bubbles

In that last moment of lucidity
when the fogs of dreams spirit me away,
sway- ing beneath the waves of my memories,
I see... your face ... above the line.

In a fatal attempt to reach
I scream
just a little too late
before the bubbles engulf my voice.

The salt burns my eyes
black.
